From July, 2012. AIRtime visiting artist Jeff Kolar hosts live from Wave Farm in Acra. Based in Chicago, IL, Kolar's work includes cross-platform collaboration, low-powered radio, and live performance. Jeff is also the administrator of Radius, an experimental radio broadcast platform, who presents a monthly radio program for free103point9 Online Radio and WGXC 90.7-FM. Write's Kolar: "My recent work investigates technology-specific topics including computer system alerts, hardware hacking, and the AM/FM/unlicensed spectrum. It is my intention to explore the overlaps between analog and digital audio systems. Using remix and live phonographic techniques, my work openly accepts transmission accidents, circuit feedback, and physical interferences."
