Today we are presenting Canciones del Adios “Farewell Songs” or “Goodbye Songs”. Like the Romantics we presented a couple of weeks ago, these ballads are songs of love, loss, and re-encounter. We start with 3 Argentinian tunes first “Los Nocheros” and “Cancion de Adios”, followed by Franscico Canaro with “Adios Pampa Mia” sung by Alberto Arenas, and finally in this trio of songs Astor Piazzola and “Adios Nonino”.

We also have in our show from Spain the Orquesta Mondragon and Joaquin Sabina with “Adios, adios”, from Catalunya Joan Manuel Serrat and “Entre un Hola y un Adios”, and from Chile Violeta Parra and “Adios que se va Segundo”.

Carlos Gardel and “Adios Muchachos”, followed by Mexican pianist Francisco Javier Flores Martínez and “Marcha del Adios”, and Danny Rivera from Puerto Rico signing with Edy Gorme, proud Bronx native with “Para Decir Adios”. The show includes Oscar Ovidio from Guatemala and “Adios Mama”, from Mexico the Mariachi Corona and the song “Adios Amor”, and from Mexico Beatriz Adrianoa and “Adios y Bienvenida”.

Finally, the Spanish group Bello Publico and the song “Un Adios” followed by Puerto Rican Max Torres and “Nunca te Dire Adios” and Ignacio Cervantes and “Adios a Cuba” will brings us to the end of Nuestra Musica. Enjoy the Sho


“Nuestra Música,” “Our Music,” presents the rhythms and folklore of Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and Cape Verde. From Tango to Flamenco and all Latinx music in between. The show explores the native instruments, languages, and traditions played in 22 countries and one territory. Other than Spanish and Portuguese, "Nuestra Música" presents songs in Quechua, Mapuche, Guaraní, Nahuatl, Gallego, Spanish Basque, and Catalán. Among many styles we present: Tango, Chacarera, Baguala, Zamba with a Z and Samba with an S, Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Llanero, Vallenato, Merengue, Parrandera, Son, Bolero, Ranchera, Corrido, Marimba, Fado, Flamenco, Sevillanas, Jota, Blues, Jazz, Danzon, Mambo, and many more.
