This week will be the first episode of WGXC's new weekly music program, In The Cut, hosted by Effie Asili. In The Cut is an all vinyl, eclectic mix of musics celebrating the diversity and creativity of the African Diaspora. Mixing the finest in everything from Rare Groove, Soul, Funk and Jazz to Reggae, Rocksteady, Afrobeat, Afropop, Highlife, Juju, Zulu, Cumbia, Rumba, Mambo and Salsa. This show will also pay tribute to Jazz/Blues legend Donald Byrd.
