The program begins with two songs named Amanda. The recent song by Volume Five concerns a woman whose life story contains a lot of unwanted goodbyes. The other is a generation old country song where bluegrass singer Charlie Moore sings a tribute to his wife. Our Gem of Bluegrass considers bluegrass songs about spring. Later, we talk to old-time duet Ivan Rosenberg and Chris Coole. The pair hails from the Toronto, Canada area, and tells us about their methods of arranging songs for a duet.
