"Hive Theory" is a radio series that begins with the honey bee colony and follows its connections into the world beyond it.

Honey bees do not have ears, instead they sense airborne sound waves and surface vibrations through specialized organs. 

Rumor has it that honey bees respond best to low-frequency vibrations (200-500 Hz) that match the environment of their hive.
