Rescheduled from Jan. 18, Bobby Previte debuts "Music from the Dune Shacks" with Keith Prayon alto and baritone saxophones; Marcus DeGrazia on alto and baritone saxophones; Michael Kammers playing the Moog synthesizer; and Previte on trap drums. This is a premiere of a new ensemble. In summer 2019, Previte spent a week without electricity and running water in a shack nestled in the dunes of Cape Cod, just steps from the ocean. After a hellacious storm on the first night—an experience shaped in no small measure by Previte's being unaware of the presence of a rare tornado on the island—the sun, and this music, came out Afterwards, The Disappointer Sisters (aka Matthew Cullen and Jared Samuel) DJ no-wave, funk, deep disco, balearic jams, and other styles.
