On each Catskill Cabin Conversations broadcast, invited guests are asked to discuss a number of items that they would take with them on a Catskill cabin getaway. As they discuss their chosen items, it is intended that you, the listener, will enjoy getting to know each guest that little bit better.

This month we talk with WGXC Community Programming Coordinator Alanna Medlock. Alanna was born in New Haven, Connecticut and raised in Chicago, Illinois. She studied English at the University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia and later received an MFA in Acting from the Theatre program at Columbia University in New York, and has been performing as an actor and sometime singer off and on for most of her adult life. She has also worked in educational publishing and the tech world and has been a freelance bookkeeper and copy editor, among other adventures in her varied career. More recently Alanna began studying audio editing and radio production, and moved up to the Hudson Valley in 2011 after many visits to the area over the years.
