Produced by many contributors.

David Rothenberg is a musician, writer, scientist and professor living in the Hudson valley. His specialty is the music and culture of animals and how they relate to the music of humans. In the latest issue of National Geographic he has authored a pull out section that takes actual songs of humpback whales and translates them into musical notation. Moses Nagel spoke to him about the research and art behind this story and the other projects he has pursued during the pandemic. And artist Tony Cokes will be in conversation in an event that is co-sponsored by The Sanctuary for Independent Media. Cokes spoke with WOOC's Sina Basila Hickey about how he uses sound to contradict cultural associations, his process to create art, and the importance of artists in changing cultural perception.
