Yehuda Hanani, cellist and artistic director of the chamber music series, Close Encounters With Music based in Great Barrington, Mass., will join host Lincoln Mayorga. Hanani has performed with many orchestras such as the Chicago Symphony, Philadelphia Orchestra, St. Paul Chamber Orchestra and the Berlin Radio Symphony, collaborating with conductors such as Christoph Eschenbach, David Robertson and Vladimir Fedoseyev. He performed at Marlboro (where he studied with Pablo Casals) and at festivals including Aspen, Chautauqua, and Blue Hill. Hanani is a champion of contemporary and rarely played cello repertoire. He is currently professor of violincello at the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music.
