In the latest Hudson Valley Word of Mouth segment, Julia Joern visits Stephen Petronio, world renowned and award-winning choreographer, dancer, and artistic director of the NYC-based Stephen Petronio Company. After participating in the Hudson Valley Dance Festival/Dancers Responding to AIDS, which took place in Catskill, he soon put roots down in Greene County. In 2018 he founded Petronio Residency Center in Round Top, solidifying the Upper Hudson Valley as the new epicenter for dance. This non-profit dance retreat is nestled in a 175-acre property perched high up on Crow’s Nest and surrounded by a protected forest, with views all the way to the Berkshires.
