Is worth mentioning that this week on May 25 Argentina celebrates “El día de la Revolución”, the beginning of Argentina independence from Spain, that culminated on July 9 1816.
Argentina with 23 provinces and the Capital district, has more styles and rhythms than their geographical configuration. The country has as many as 45 different musical identities. This diverse cultural heritage reflects the ever changing and beautiful geographical style of the country.
Of the more than 45 styles, today we are playing ARGENTINA INSTRUMENTAL 19 styles and they are: Tango, Milonga, Zamba, Chacarera, Carnavalito, Pericon Nacional, Valsecito Criollo, Vidalita, Rock Nacional, Bailecito, Baguala, , Tonada, Cueca, Malambo, Polka, Gato and Sombrerito.
“Nuestra Música,” “Our Music,” presents the rhythms and folklore of Latin America, Spain, Portugal, and Cape Verde. From Tango to Flamenco and all Latinx music in between. The show explores the native instruments, languages, and traditions played in 22 countries and one territory. Other than Spanish and Portuguese, "Nuestra Música" presents songs in Quechua, Mapuche, Guaraní, Nahuatl, Gallego, Spanish Basque, and Catalán. Among many styles we present: Tango, Chacarera, Baguala, Zamba with a Z and Samba with an S, Bossa Nova, Cumbia, Llanero, Vallenato, Merengue, Parrandera, Son, Bolero, Ranchera, Corrido, Marimba, Fado, Flamenco, Sevillanas, Jota, Blues, Jazz, Danzon, Mambo, and many more. The countries presented are Argentina // Bolivia // Brazil // Cape Verde // Chile // Colombia // Costa Rica // Cuba // Dominican Republic // Ecuador // El Salvador // Guatemala // Honduras // Mexico // Nicaragua // Panama // Paraguay // Peru // Portugal // Puerto Rico // Spain // Uruguay // Venezuela.
