WGXC Radio Council member Hudson Talbott will be in with host Samir Alygad on the first hour of the "WGXC Afternoon Show" talking with four Woodstock teenagers raising money to visit the city of Luang Prabang in Laos to work in an orphanage for two weeks, teaching English and art. They are part of a program called "One Voice For Laos: Teens For Change." Caleb Rudge, Jesse Ditkoff, Rachel Castellano, and Isabelle LaMotte have raised over $20,000 through dances, flea markets, poker nights, and church benefits. The money will be used for food,clothing, bedding and educational supplies for the 600 children living at the Laotian orphanage. Along w/ the funding, the students and the two accompanying adults (Hudson Talbott is one) will be teaching English by using art. In the 5 p.m. hour, host Jack Ross-Pilkington joins Alygad to speak with musician Cathy Grier. She will play a few songs and talking about her show at the Hudson Opera House.
