Part 1 of a multi-part series on Lyme and other tick-borne diseases and our community. Today's show will feature local residents talking about their own personal experiences living with, and healing from, Lyme. Future shows will feature different perspectives, such as healthcare practitioners currently specializing in working with others to heal Lyme; herbal-gardener-plant and animal people taking a broad view of the entire ecosystem and the ecological connections between Lyme and plants and animals; and Invasive Medicine, a newly-coined term but really an ancient holistic view of plant medicine, with a focus on the energetics of Japanese Knotweed – a very important plant medicine for tick-borne diseases, which appeared in our bioregion around the same time Lyme disease became prevalent and which has been hated by many people as an "invasive" species. Hosted by Sarah Falkner and Lauren Giambrone.
