MV Carbon and Zach Layton perform at The Avalon Lounge in Catskill with a live Wave Farm.org webcast and wgxc.org broadcast. MV Carbon is a multi-disciplinary artist and professor encompassing live performance, sound, film, sculpture, painting, and multimedia installation. Carbon’s work focuses on sonic feedback, sound spatialization, sound morphology, and the transformative and deconstructive interrelationship between sound, image, space and place. Carbon’s work explores topics such as dream states, environment, regeneration, mutation, interchangeability, and transmogrification of matter and mind, while exploring the capacity of sound through music, performance, and immersive environments. Carbon forms soundtracks with amplified vessels, handmade electronics, voice, cello, magnetic tape, oscillators, keyboards, and electronic synthesis. Zach Layton is a guitarist, composer, curator, teacher and visual artist based in Brooklyn and Troy, NY. His work explores emergent visual and auditory phenomena occurring in space, time, sound and light.
