Welcome to the December edition of our monthly Itinerant Mind programs with Morrad+McArthur. Annie Morrad is based in the UK and Ian McArthur lives in Sydney, Australia. Every month Itinerant Mind presents a mix of live telematic improvisations between the UK and Australia alongside material we have developed through the email and skype conversations that direct our collaborative sound art practice. This month we will be live, playing “Big Brats” a completely improvised set of new material we have started working on. The intent is to inject a more rhythmic approach into our practice. This will of course feature our usual layers of field recordings, free-form saxophones, electronics, random conversations, online latency, and generative approaches to beatmaking that reference motifs from jazz and noise - lots of noise.

Annie will be playing the show live at the exhibition “Midpointedness” at Airspace, Stoke-on-Trent, UK as part of her performance ‘standing at the altar of disconnection... take two’ Saturday 17th Dec – 11am – 5pm (UK time).
