Turn out or tune in for a benefit concert by Ken Butler and Peter Head with a warm-up set by the Nameless Quivers, broadcast live from HiLo in Catskill. The event will be followed by a Cinco de Mayo Dance Party with DJ Neva Wartell, host of the weekly show, Music for the Masses. Event is held in conjunction with the Greene County Council on the Art’s “Off the Walls: From Junk to Art," an exhibition of recycled and repurposed materials, on view from April 22 through May 27. Tickets are $10 at the door ($5 after 9:30 p.m. for dance party only). Proceeds benefit Wave Farm's WGXC and Greene County Council on the Arts.

Ken Butler (New York City) is an internationally recognized artist and musician whose hybrid musical instruments, performances and other works explore the interaction and transformation of common and uncommon objects, altered images, and sounds as function and form collide in the intersection of art and music. (https://kenbutler.squarespace.com)

Peter Head (Palenville) is a self-described “redneck artist, poet and musician” who makes instruments out of all kinds of stuff – and plays them, too. (peterheadhimself.com)

The Nameless Quivers (Catskill) are a local entertaining duo known for their throat-singing-whirligigging-nosefluting-sumacsophoning antics.
