Joseph Kamaru, aka KMRU, is a Nairobi-born, Berlin-based sound artist known for a collection of field recordings from around the world blended with synthetic sound and noise for performances, installations, and recordings. This program features the project “Dissolution Grip” created while studying at the Universität der Künste Berlin and was recorded in performance at Roulette in September 2024. The piece has also been released on KMRU’s own label, OFNOT.
