I knew the Belz for over fifty years since he called one night at WPKN to tell me he was listening-we had both gone to Andrew Warde High School together in the 60s but never connected until that call. He kept calling and we became friends and worked together on many projects including an HBO special and album Another Lone Nut which Ill be playing during the show along with excerpts of him talking about WBAI, JFK, Reagan and listening to transistor radios with his brother Len during his childhood.
