"Democracy Now!" interrupts the proceedings live at 8 a.m., with international news from Manhattan and Amy Goodman. At 9 a.m., host Tom Roe is joined by Sylvia Hasenkopf, who will talk about two forthcoming publications. Due out this fall, "Tracing Your Roots in Greene County - Volume 2" features the local history articles Hasenkopf wrote for the Greenville Pioneer from May 2012 to December 2012. Hasenkopf is also working on a book celebrating the "Town of Cairo Hometown Heroes" project, in her capacity on the Cairo Historical Society, due to be released spring 2015. Also, Tobe Carey talks about his new film "Rails to the Catskills." A showing of the 96-minute documentary is scheduled Sat., Nov. 8 at the Cairo Library. "Rails to the Catskills" is a history of the railroad industry in the Catskills of New York State.from the canals of the 1820's to the post-Civil War railroad boom.
