During WGXC’s Testify! pledge drive, “Overlooked” host Rob Saffer plays relatively new releases including work by Suss, Marilyn Crispell, Alec K. Redfearn and The Eyesores, Hamad Kalkaba, Thumbscrew, Jacob Bro, Andrew Cyrille, and many others. Most were released in 2018; “Overlooked” is aiming to catch up and get to 2019 releases, hopefully by year’s end.

“Overlooked” is a show focusing on overlooked and under-heard jazz, improvisational music and other fringe music, from early roots to contemporary experiments, a mix of familiar to rare, classic to weird. Broadcast live from the Hudson studio.
