Spotlight on maverick country music star Wanda Jackson (born 1937), who began her career in the 1950s as one of the first popular female rockabilly singers and a pioneer in mixing rock ’n’ roll with country music. As rockabilly declined in popularity in the mid-’60s, she found success with the country hits for which she is better known. Broadcast live from the Carnegie Room of the Catskill library. Hosted by Tanya Blue.
