Join Stuyvesant resident George Spencer for this guest host broadcast of arts, etc. Spencer, a visual artist, filmmaker and writer, will be interviewing Chatham resident Joseph Olejak. Joseph is a Quaker and war tax resister who ended up in court and was sentenced to 26 consecutive weekends in the Hudson Correctional Facility.

There are lots of creative people around. In addition to visual artists, musicians, actors, writers, etc. there are lots of other people who live very creative lives but don’t fit into these categories. They are health care workers, teachers, farmers, carpenters, masons, roofers, welders, blacksmiths and many more. I’m interested in their life stories and how they deal with the human need to create.

Creativity should be recognized and honored wherever it is found. Not just in museums, galleries and international auction houses. This program is dedicated to these under-appreciated people who are making a major contribution toward a more peaceful world.
