In The Cut with Effie Asili. An all vinyl, eclectic mix of musics celebrating the diversity and creativity of the African Diaspora. Mixing the finest in everything from Rare Groove, Soul, Funk and Jazz to Reggae, Rocksteady, Afrobeat, Afropop, Highlife, Juju, Zulu, Cumbia, Rumba, Mambo and Salsa.

Ephraim "Effie" Asili is an African American Filmmaker, Artist, DJ and Traveler. Deriving inspiration from his day-to-day wanderings, Asili strives to creates art which positions itself as a series of reflections on everyday experience and media culture. Through both auditory and visual examinations of societal iconography, identity, geography, and architecture Asili strives to present a personal vision. Ever seeking to find harmony within his assorted activities, Effie's pursuit of a personal vision is balanced with the commitment to to develop and share comprehensive and thought out presentations of sounds and or images within a creative and community context. Currently Asili serves as Technical Director for the Film and Electronic Arts Department at Bard College and hosts a weekly radio show on WGXC 90.7 ACRA, New York.
