This month's edition of the Everything Is Real Radio program will feature work by composer Patrick Cowley (1950-1982). Cowley, originally from Buffalo, NY, became a pioneer of electronic disco music in the San Francisco scene of the '70's and created the legendary 15+ minute remix version of Donna Summer's "I Feel Love". Like his contemporary Arthur Russell, Crowley had roots in avant-garde composition and through sultry, minimalist electronic rhythms on the frontiers of sound, his music reveled in freedoms long denied.
