Dolores Huerta became a public figure in the mid-1960s when she co-founded, with Cesar Chávez, the United Farm Workers Union. Today she heads the Dolores Huerta Foundation, where she continues to fight for equality and justice for underrepresented communities. On April 10, 2018, Dolores celebrated her 88th birthday. Pacifica station KPFK in Los Angeles asked the Pacifica Radio Archives and Dan Guerrero, host of KPFK's "Gaytino Report" on radio show IMRU, to produce a birthday celebration show, combining rare personal stories and Pacifica archival sound recordings going back to the beginning. Here is that program that aired on Dolores Huerta's birthday.
