Hosted by Mariano Vera.
On Tuesday March 19, Nuestra Música will present the second of three shows dedicated to International Women’s Day and Women’s History Month. This time we will be presenting Entre Mujeres / Between Women, a “trans-local” music composition project between Chicanas/Latinas in the U.S. and Jarochas/Mexican musicians in Mexico. Quoting the creators of this project: “A song as a sonic and literary manifestation is life’s sound-scape. A unique cathartic memento, as well as a powerful political tool. Without question a song is also an important historical text, a testimony of life views, triumphs, and struggles. Entre Mujeres project is a testament to the kind of collective knowledge generated across U.S. Mexican Borders.”
Tune in at WGXC 90.7-FM and online at wavefarm.org/listen from 11 a.m. until 12p.m.
