Tom's Diner, on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, may be America's most famous diner. The song "Tom's Diner" was written about it in 1981 by American singer-songwriter Suzanne Vega. (It was first released as a track on the January 1984 issue of Fast Folk Musical Magazine.[1] When first featured on one of her own studio albums, it appeared as the first track of her "Solitude Standing" album in 1987.) A few years later, it became one of the main fictional sets on the show "Seinfeld." It's also been used as the standard for mp3 replication. This show tunes in all manners of the song, including the loss you do not hear when the song is made into an mp3, a backwards version, and recordings from DNA, Rampue, Aliex Kidd vs Kidd Kaos, Two Vinyls, and 2Pac ("Dopefiend Diner").
