A panel discussion called "Hispanic Immigration in Rural New York" was held on November 3 at Bard College. The conversation included Melanie Nicholson, a Spanish professor at Bard College who acted as facilitator; Professor Jean Carlos Cowan, from SUNY Orange; Humberto Rodríguez Maya, the popular Mexican radio host living in Poughkeepsie; Joseph Sorrentino, a photographer from Rochester, NY; and Mariel Fiori, Managing Editor of La Voz magazine and host of WGXC's ¿Que Cocinaré Hoy? and the "WGXC Afternoon Show" on Tuesdays. WGXC will broadcast the panel in two parts during the "WGXC Afternoon Show" Monday at 4:15 and 5:15 p.m.
