Performance artist Marina Abramovic will announce plans for her proposed Center for the Preservation of Performance Art on Columbia St. in Hudson, on this live broadcast from MoMA PS1 in Long Island City, New York. WGXC will broadcast the event, which will include a presentation about Abramovic's collaboration with architect Rem Koolhaas with short presentations from MoMA's Klaus Biesenbach, Marina Abramovic Institute director Serge Le Borgne, Milan City Councilor Stefano Boeri, OMA, and Marina Abramovic. Abramovic is expected to announce specific plans for her new upstate venture at the presentation. The performance art center is set to go in the existing Community Tennis building on the corner of North Seventh St. and Columbia St. in Hudson. The New York Times previously reported, "Because the museum will be devoted to marathon performance art, it will feature customized chairs complete with wheels, dining tables and lamps. People who fall asleep will be rolled into a special sleeping area — considered part of the performance – and rolled back when they awaken." Tune in to this live presentation beginning at 10:30 a.m. on the "WGXC Morning Show" with host Philip Grant.
