Auditions: Michael Wyrd - "Michael Wyrd’s Eldritch Radio"
90.7-FM in NY's Upper Hudson Valley and wgxc.org/listen everywhere
http://www.wgxc.org/
Hosted by various prospective WGXC volunteer programmers.
Michael Wyrd’s Eldritch Radio is a late-night hybrid radio show blending live and prerecorded segments with horror, science fiction, suspense, the supernatural, and a soundtrack rooted in classic darkwave, goth, industrial, and related music.
Part talk show, part anthology series, and part late-night music program, each broadcast can feature strange news, listener questions, eerie station breaks, darkly comic commercials, original radio tales, and music selected to fit the show’s shadowy late-night atmosphere.
The program will also occasionally spotlight local and regional artists, giving musicians from the area a place alongside established darkwave, goth, industrial music sets.
Guiding listeners through it all is Michael Wyrd, an irreverent and dangerously charming host broadcasting from the mysterious K.T.L.U., where strange signals, questionable sponsors, unsettling stories, and very good music are simply part of the programming.
Think classic late-night radio, vintage horror anthology, and underground alternative music all bleeding into the same frequency.
Michael Wyrd is a horror host, storyteller, and master of ceremonies with a love for cult cinema, vintage horror, science fiction, alternative music, and immersive theatrical entertainment. He also serves as the host of Wyrd’s Events, bringing the same dark humor, theatrical flair, and affection for the strange and unusual from the stage and screen to the airwaves.
