Hosted by David, the FFF podcast series (or The FFFoxy Podcast) includes regular artist/label interview features, in-studio guests, and live performances. http://www.freeformfreakout.com/ This month: Summer is fast approaching and plenty of cool things are happening in and around the FFF orbit. For starters, lots of great new music keeps arriving each week. The latest LP from The Bibs has been a recent favorite, not to mention the latest archival titles from Fraser & DeBolt and Sun Ra on the steadfast Minneapolis-based Roaratorio label have both been getting ample turntable spins. FFF is going to be taking part in a couple of notable record shows during the month of June that will involve some great live sounds to boot. We’ll be at the Poof Record Pop-Up on June 8th in Minneapolis where Itasca, the David Nance Band, and Gem Jones will be performing. On June 25, we’ll be slingin’ wax, plastic, tape, and paper at the Mankato Brewery as part of the third Mankato Music Expo. Later that evening, Good Night Gold Dust, The Frye and Bee Balm Fields will be gracing the Brewery stage. FFF’s David will likely be spinning some records at some point during the day, too. Oh, and you’ll be hearing plenty more about this in the weeks ahead, but KMSU is bringing The Blind Shake to Mankato on July 9th at The What’s Up Lounge!! If you’re anywhere near Mankato on that date you should mark your calendars now; this show is going to be amazing!!
