Valve Lash— throwing syllables with the mouth and catching them with the hands, spheres of environment, Douglas Ross, Harmony 1 with a washing machine, diagnosing machines and bodies as a reaching into them, valve lash, listening through gasoline, haptic motorcycle sounds, heart sounds and murmurs, seeing spheres of the mouth with the tongue, throwing and catching with the tongue, throwing language down the trachea, Harlan Lane on Rousseau feeling the vibrations of a cello, J. B. Barlow and W.A. Pocock.

In their premiere Wave Farm Radio: WGXC broadcast, Tongue and Cheek is diagnosing machines and bodies as a reaching into them. Tongue and Cheek is radio series of proprioceptive exercises, interviews about practices of communication, and archival sound. A routine for warming up our means of communication. Presented monthly as a combination of live and prerecorded sessions. Tongue and Cheek was first developed and aired on Montez Press Radio beginning in the summer of 2018. Montez Press Radio is an experimental radio station and commissioning platform for unexpected works from artists and other creative voices. MPR continues to air new episodes of Tongue and Cheek during its monthly live broadcast at 46 Canal St in Chinatown, New York.
