In the second hour of the broadcast, a conversation with award-winning conductor and violinist Brandon Keith Brown. In addition to his work as a conductor, Brown has a wealth of experience as a university professor and youth orchestra leader. He is focused on the racial conscience of society through classical music. Brown's writings on race and classical music have been featured internationally including NPR's “Here and Now,” Die Zeit, The Medium, and more. He frequently speaks and consults on the intersection of race and music. Brown will participate in “A Conversation with Black Leaders in Classical Music," a panel to discuss black perspectives on the classical music world, including racism in programming, in booking artists, and in reaching audiences, presented online by Clarion Concerts, 5 p.m., Sat., Nov. 21, at clarion concerts [dot] org.

The Catskill Makers Syndicate produce the "Better Weather" for the show. Rob Gelles produces the Columbia County history segment "Rob Around The County" and "This Month in History" for the show. Some reports come from our partner station, WOOC-LP in Troy, out of The Sanctuary for Independent Media. Tom Roe also cuts up local and national news with songs and sounds for the show. At 9 a.m. "The WGXC Daily," with local headlines, weather, and previews of community events, airs. At 10 a.m., national headlines from Public News Service are on WGXC.
