American stage, film and television actress Patty Duke in conversation with Catskill resident Sandy Smith. Duke will speak about her life and answer questions. Live broadcast from the Bridge Street Theatre's Speakeasy. Duke gained fame as a child star, winning an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress at age 16, and later starred in her own television sitcom for three years, before progressing to adult roles. Duke served as president of the Screen Actors Guild from 1985 to 1988. She was diagnosed with bipolar disorder in 1982, and since that time has devoted herself to advocating and educating the public on mental health issues.
