The Cairo Public Library has invited educator and parent Colleen Bucci to lead a workshop designed to assist parents in understanding the Common Core Standard on Wednesday February 26, 6 p.m.This workshop is an opportunity for skill-building and resource sharing among parents who seek tools in order to help their students thrive in the midst of a shifting educational curriculum. Bucci has four children, spanning 4th to 10th grade, and is a resident of Saugerties, New York. She is a graduate of Bard College's Masters of Art in Teaching Program, and is one of 104 educators who were selected to serve as New York State Master Teachers last year. The workshop is free and open to the public.
