Turn out or tune in for this live, benefit performance of "The Importance of Being Earnest," the most renowned of Oscar Wilde’s comedies, live on 90.7-FM. It is the story of two bachelors who create alter egos named Ernest to escape their tiresome lives. The two men attempt to win the hearts of two women who, conveniently, claim to only love men named Ernest. The pair becomes tangled in a tale of deception, disguise and misadventure. The elaborate plot ridicules Victorian sensibilities with some of the best loved, and bizarre, characters to be found on the modern stage. Presented in collaboration with the Red Dot Restaurant. Directed by Mat Tombers and Andrew Joffe. Produced by Mat Tombers.
$20 at the door. Doors open at 6 p.m. Light fare included. Cash bar. Ticket proceeds benefit Wave Farm's WGXC-FM.
