A presentation by culinary historian Peter G. Rose on hand-written cookbooks as documents of social and family history. Examples of recipe/scrapbooks, dating as far back as the late seventeenth century will be examined. The audience is encouraged to bring old family cookbooks or recipe boxes. Presented by the Jacob Leisler Institute, in cooperation with Hudson Area Library and the Gotham Center for New York History.
