Families with a child, birth to age five, can join a supportive community of families and learn how to develop your child’s vital early literacy skills so they will enter Kindergarten ready to read. This 5-week workshop with teacher Kathy Mabb is held from 10:30 a.m. to 1 pm. on Saturdays from April 29 through May 27. Participants will receive free books and prizes each week. Saturday, May 6, families will meet at the library, receive a bag lunch and gift certificates, and will ride with library personnel on the festival bus to the Hudson Children’s Book Festival for a day of fun, activities and shopping for children’s books.
