Looking for a late-winter tonic? Join us at the Half Moon for an evening of progressive traditionalism with Chris Forsyth's Solar Motel Band, and Zachary Cale. Forsyth is a guitarist and composer, funneling minimalist abstraction, folk, and rock into an idiosyncratic tunefulness all his own. He has released a string of acclaimed records provoking comparisons to artists like Television, The Grateful Dead, Popul Vuh, Neil Young & Crazy Horse, John Fahey, and Glenn Branca. Zachary Cale provides a spacious strain of midnight oil fueled country blues. Pitchfork Media recently placed him in loner indie lineage along with Destroyer and Cass McCombs. He's currently touring with his latest album, Blue Rider. Both Forsyth & Cale made the Popmatters site "Top 10 Overlooked Albums of 2013" list.
