Free public event. Under the direction of band leader Bill Baxter, in this hour-long concert the Coxsackie-Athens Community Band will play a selection of tunes for "Children of All Ages." The Coxsackie-Athens Community Band is a wind ensemble comprised of musicians from Greene and surrounding counties. The Cairo Historical Society is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization committed to collecting, analyzing and sharing local history. Community bands played a vital role in bringing communities together in the 19th and early 20th centuries.
