The Hunter Town Board is considering repealing or changing two of six recent laws with public meetings May 13 at the Mountain Top Library. A standing-room-only special meeting in Hunter April 12 led to the public hearings, which consider repealing laws passed recently about small-scale mining and timber harvesting. A proposed Local Law, which will repeal Local Law #4 and #5 of the year 1989, known as the Regulating Construction and Demolition Waste Disposal Law of the Town of Hunter, will be discussed.
