Greene County is a critical battlefield for the fight for public power. We'll share how you can get plugged into organizing with your neighbors, who we need to win support from, and how we can pass a local resolution in support of the bill in multiple localities! Hear from Assemblymember Sarahana Shrestha on how we can seize our power back from Central Hudson. The Hudson Valley Power Authority Act (Shrestha/Hinchey) would replace Central Hudson with a publicly-owned utility that delivers energy without a profit motive, and is accountable to the public.

The Berkshire Community Land Trust hosts a panel with local leaders; “Fighting for Food, Home, and Earth: What Do We Do Now? The panel will follow a brief annual meeting and announcements.

Moderator Erik Bruun, will lead a discussion with Bob Climo (GB Bagel & Deli), Shannon Smith (Berkshire Agricultural Ventures), and Jonathan Schrag (Deputy Climate Chief, MA Office of Climate Innovation and Resilience)

A reception will close the evening. Everyone is welcome, you need not be a member to attend, but reservation is recommended .

La Leche League is hosting meet-ups and support for nursing families at the Hudson Area Library. Whether you are pregnant, caring for a newborn, nursing, pumping, supplementing, weaning, or beyond – all are welcome!
