At the Newmark Gallery at Art Omi for Raising Supper- an afternoon of gathering, making, and conversation as we celebrate the opening of Staging Area: A Barn Raising in Two Parts by designer Erin Besler. Inspired by the communal spirit of a barn raising, this “raising supper” marks the beginning of an exhibition that explores construction, collaboration, and transformation. Echoing this spirit, Enoki, an Asian pantry in Saugerties, NY, will offer bowls of warm congee and other communal dishes steeped in Chinese tradition, bringing a taste of heritage and togetherness to this gathering. Raising Supper is open to all ages. Advanced registration appreciated.

Starting Thursday, February 13th, we will be holding our six-week Dragon's Way Qigong class for Spring in Chatham, NY.

Over our six classes, you will learn and practice 10 ancient movements with a certified instructor in the lineage of Grand Master Nan Lu. Qi is your life-force, your energy, and these 10 movements will help improve Qi flow, balance, flexibility, and overall wellness. What makes our classes different from most is that you also will learn about the Five Element Framework, how you can add to your Qi, and how you can stop draining your Qi on your journey to self-healing. This work can help address chronic pain and joint stiffness, poor digestion, weight loss, headaches, stress and anxiety, sleep disorders, arthritis, and overall fatigue.

This Spring, you can choose to attend the classes on Thursday mornings at The Morris Memorial @ 9:15 am to 10:30 am. or on Thursday evenings at St. James Church Hall @ 6:15 pm to 7: 30 pm, both in Chatham.

All are welcome for songs, stories, and fun moves led by local musician, Abby Lappen, as we continue this joyful storytime.

CLC and the Chatham Public Library are teaming up for a monthly walking club on public lands! Together, we will enjoy fresh air, friends, and fun as we explore the trails at High Falls this month.

What to expect: We will walk one mile along the Waterfall Way trail, which features a forested path with packed earth, bog bridges, exposed roots, and a maximum grade of 15%. There are seating opportunities alongside the trail; more details can be found here. Please note that this event will still occur in light rain or snow, but registrants will be contacted in extreme weather.

What to bring: We recommend water and weather-appropriate clothing and footwear. Social, leashed dogs are welcomed with bags for waste!

The Hudson Junior/Senior High School Drama Club is presenting the family-friendly show of the Broadway musical “ANNIE!” Opening night will be March 21, 2025 at 7:00 p.m., with additional shows at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 22nd, and 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 23rd. All performances are in the Hudson Jr./Sr. High school auditorium located at 215 Harry Howard Avenue, Hudson, NY.

When his musical YANK! was successfully produced down in Rio de Janeiro, David Zellnik found himself part of a passionate community of theatre makers including George, the show’s vibrant 26-year-old producer. Two years later, George was dead – of a mysterious “sudden bacterial infection”. David returns to Brazil for his memorial, but the more he digs into George’s personal life, the more he’s forced to wrestle with his own feelings and fears and the real source of his desire to understand George’s life and death. Written and performed by David Zellnik, and based on actual events, “O Time” will be presented March 21-23 at Bridge Street Theatre, 44 West Bridge Street in Catskill, NY, as Show #3 in BST’s SoloFest 2025.
