The Historic Hudson Boat Restoration and Sailing Society is holding a Volunteer Rally for all society members and new volunteers. The event, open to the public, will discuss planned events leading up to the June launch date including several important fundraising and community activities. Volunteers are needed for social media coordination, an entertainment committee for an April gala fundraiser at Helsinki Club, and corporate fundraising. Featured guest speaker: Mark Lytle, Author, Retired Professor of History at Bard College who will speak on the Environment and his forthcoming book, The All Consuming Nation which explores what He calls the Obama dilemma: how to jump-start a consumer-based economy in an age of global warming.
