reminds me of a formative beatbox anecdote. Growing up in la, i used to go to tapings of sitcoms. While they'd set up shots and whatever, a guy would work the crowd and ask for people to tell jokes or bust a talent. a ton of heads used to beatbox. so fresh. but then one time, they went up to this kid, and asked him what his talent was. he said, "im gonna beatbox...but I'm still learning." So instead of a beat, he just made the kick sound a couple times. sounded dope. had body. but not nearly enough. that's what today is.
