In this hour, an interview with New York City-based composer and trombonist Sam Blakeslee. Busy Body, Blakeslee's second and latest release with his group Wistful Thinking, is now out on Outside in Music. Plus, a rebroadcast of a conversation with Cat Henry, arts executive and curator of the Hudson Jazz Festival. The event this year is entitled, The Shape of Jazz Today, and will take place over two consecutive weekends — February 16 to 19 and February 23 to 26 in Hudson, NY. Hudson Hall is located at 327 Warren Street.
