On WGXC-90.7FM / Streaming live at wavefarm.orgFor five years, Race Talks® has carved out space for truth-telling, reflection, and real conversation on race, identity, and culture

This Women’s History Month Anniversary Special turns the lens inward—revisiting the voices, stories, and sparks that helped define the journey.

Host and Executive Producer Kimberly Y. Erwin is joined by producer Garrett Roche and returning voice Kim Singletary—pastor and media trailblazer of multiple shows for a dynamic, multigenerational roundtable. Together, they move through the archives (2021–2025), pulling clips in real time, reacting, remembering, and reexamining the power of what was said…and what still resonates.

No script.

No filter.

Just reflection in motion.

At the heart of it all: women whose voices shaped the dialogue and expanded the frame.

Featured Voices from the Race Talks® Archive

GG Melina (designer/activist) — reimagining womanhood as divine, calling women to honor their “baby god” power

Belkis Alcantara (salon owner) — celebrating natural hair, identity, and the beauty of self-authenticity

Dr. Kordilia Noble (career coach) — confronting the “double negatives” and leadership barriers facing Black women

Dr. Kimberly Adams Tufts (educator/coach) — examining AI bias, pay equity, and global representation of women, and Black women specifically, in tech and academia

Dr. Rita S. Fierro (social justice consultant) — igniting bold conversations on institutional change and societal transformation, from rewriting the Constitution to advancing racial healing

Rev. Dr. Denise Parker Lawrence (chaplain/author) — grounding leadership, faith, and community care in spiritual resilience

This episode is spiritual, and unfiltered—a living conversation that honors the past while pressing forward. As Pastor Kim reminds us, the mission remains: to bring women out of the shadows.

Interwoven throughout are reflections of Race Talks® itself—its unwavering commitment to “the very necessary conversation on race and ethnicity.”
