Join the WGXC Afternoon show this Thanksgiving. We will play the new Making Contact radio documentary "New Harvest for A Modern World" on the agricultural renaissance that has taken root among the Taos Pueblo people in New Mexico. "Giving Back on Thanksgiving" WGXC talks to a variety of volunteers from the area on the spirit of giving on Thanksgiving. We will have interviews with volunteers at the First Presbyterian Church in Hudson, NY and Gunther Fishgold, owner of Tierra Coffee Roasters in Albany, NY on their first ever free Thanksgiving meal for the homeless with employees donating time to prepare the meals. We will also broadcast a Thanksgiving special produced by Sara Kendall and made by participants of the WGXC & Hudson Area Library "We Make Radio!" Youth Workshop on Saturday November 17, 2012. Also, local news, events and Thanksgiving-themed music!
