Steve Bull's project "Cellphonia: Groundswell" is an audience-participation work, and live broadcast on Wave Farm Radio and WGXC. Anyone attending, or anyone with thoughts about the site, the viewshed, or the Hudson River, may call in and participate. Bull's program remixes the voices of callers into a song of the show. To participate 518-512-0518 to call in and leave a message. The project explores the intersection of site-specific environmental sounds with the intervention of computer code algorithm processing using public participation through a call-in phone number with live manipulation by the artists in the outdoor acoustic space. Listeners can participate by calling the "Cellphonia: Groundswell" phone number: (518) 512-0518, and leaving a message about Olana, the Hudson Valley, the Rip Van Winkle Bridge, or anything related to the area, and then by listening to the remixed results on 90.7-FM live from 2-6 p.m.

Steve Bull is a mixed-media technology artist whose practice includes cellphone karaoke and augmented reality. For over a decade, Bull has created location-specific narratives and games that explore the social, technological, and creative possibilities of cell phones.
