Monday Musical Matinee: A Little Light Music (Audio)

Sep 04, 2017
Hosted by Lincoln Mayorga.
Featuring a selection of light-hearted music by: Victor Steinhardt, pianist and composer, and his violinist brother Arnold, who was principal of the Guarneri Quartet; Alec Templeton, blind British pianist, who did several very clever parodies including the shortest Wagnerian opera, an Italian opera called "Jello Jella", an out-of-tune Gilbert and Sullivan operetta; and, finally, Loony Tunes music from Warner Brothers cartoons composed by Carl Stalling between 1936 and 1958… Th-th-th-that's all, folks!
